Privacy Policy

Article 1 (Consent to Collection of Personal Information and Collection Method)

SEIL Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Website") establishes a procedure that allows customers to click the "Agree" button regarding the terms of use and the collection and use of personal information. Customers are deemed to have consented to the collection and use of their personal information by clicking the "Agree" button.


Article 2 (Personal Information Items Collected and Purpose of Use)

"Personal Information" refers to information relating to a living individual that identifies the specific individual by name, contact details, or other identifiers (including information that can be easily combined with other information to identify a specific individual).

The Website collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:

1. Personal Information of General Members

  • Time of Collection: Upon membership registration
  • Mandatory Items: ID, Password, Email, Name
  • Optional Items: Profile Image, Date of Birth, Phone Number, Address
  • Purpose: Member identification, service delivery, customer support, and notice delivery
  • Retention Period: Deleted immediately upon account withdrawal, or retained for five (5) years for purchasing members

2. Order Information (Members and Non-Members)

  • Time of Collection: Upon placing an order
  • Mandatory Items: Purchaser information (Name, Address, Phone Number, Email), Recipient information (Name, Address, Phone Number), Payment approval data
  • Optional Items: Delivery request messages
  • Purpose: Payment processing and delivery of ordered goods
  • Retention Period: Retained for five (5) years

Article 3 (Collection of Personal Information via Cookies)

The Website may install and operate cookies that store and frequently retrieve customer information. A cookie is a small text file sent by a website to the user's web browser.

  • 1) Purpose of Using Cookies: Providing personalized content based on individual interests, analyzing access frequency and browsing time to improve service, and offering customized recommendations based on item history.
  • 2) Operation and Rejection: Cookies identify the user's computer but do not identify the user personally. Users may accept all cookies, receive notifications when cookies are set, or reject all cookies by adjusting browser settings. Refusing cookies may limit access to certain services.
  • 3) How to Reject Cookies:

    • Chrome: Menu icon > Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Cookies and site data

Article 4 (Retention, Use, and Destruction of Personal Information)

  • 1) Statutory Retention Periods: Personal information is destroyed without delay once the collection purpose is fulfilled. However, information may be retained if required by law, such as the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce:
    • Records on contracts or withdrawal of offers: Retained for 5 years
    • Records on payment and supply of goods: Retained for 5 years
    • Records on customer complaint or dispute settlement: Retained for 3 years
    • Log-in records (Protection of Communications Secrets Act): Retained for 3 months
  • 2) Destruction Method:
    • Procedure: Information required to be retained is moved to a separate database or storage, kept for the statutory period, and then destroyed.
    • Method: Printed materials are shredded or incinerated. Electronic files are permanently deleted using technical methods that prevent recovery.
  • 3) Dormant Accounts: Members who have not used services for twelve (12) consecutive months will receive notice regarding account dormancy. Inactive user data will be separated and managed in accordance with applicable laws, and destroyed after the statutory period.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

The Website does not use personal information or provide it to third parties outside the scope specified in Article 2, except in the following cases:

  • When required by law enforcement or investigative agencies in accordance with legal procedures
  • When provided in a form that cannot identify specific individuals for statistical, academic, or market research purposes
  • When explicitly requested under statutory duties

Article 6 (Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing)

The Website outsources personal information processing to external service providers to ensure smooth business operations:

Article 7 (Access to and Modification of Personal Information)

  • 1) User Rights: Members may access or edit their personal information at any time via the account settings menu, or by contacting the Chief Privacy Officer in writing or via email.
  • 2) Error Correction: If a user requests the correction of errors in personal information, the information will not be used or provided until corrected.
  • 3) Third-Party Notification: If incorrect information has already been provided to a third party, the correction result will be promptly shared with the third party for modification.

Article 8 (Withdrawal of Consent and Membership Cancellation)

  • 1) Cancellation Method: Members may withdraw consent for data collection and use at any time by requesting account closure within the menu or contacting the Chief Privacy Officer.
  • 2) Immediate Action: Upon receiving a cancellation request, the Website will promptly process the request and destroy the relevant personal information.

Article 9 (Security Measures for Personal Information)

The Website implements technical, administrative, and physical measures to ensure data security in accordance with Article 29 of the Personal Information Protection Act:

  • Encryption: Critical data and passwords are stored and transmitted using cryptographic algorithms.
  • Technical Defenses: Security systems, firewalls, and anti-virus software are deployed and continuously updated to prevent data leakage from hacking or malicious software.

Article 10 (Protection of Personal Information of Children)

The Website does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 years of age without parental consent. Legal guardians may exercise all rights regarding a child's account if registered improperly.
